The Bush / Kerry "debate" was held tonight. It's really a shame that millions of viewers were subjected to two men reciting memorized scripted lines instead of real live dialogue. The bigger shame is that the American people were not afforded the privilege of seeing the real debate that took place between Libertarian Party candidate Michael Badnarik and the Green Party candidate David Cobb, which was held across the street from the Bush / Kerry debate in Coral Gables, Florida. Most Americans who no longer watch the presidential debates probably made that decision due to fact that debates are now scripted and boring. Viewership has dropped dramatically over that last 20 years. Or maybe people are just turned off with politics in general.
