Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out
about any atrocities.....Can a good Muslim be a good American?
This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20
years.The following is his reply:
Theologically - no. . . . Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God
of Arabia ..
Religiously - no. . . . Because no other religion is accepted by His
Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256) (Koran)
Scripturally - no. . . Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of
Islam and the Quran.
Geographically - no . . . Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he
turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially - no. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him To
makefriends with Christians or Jew s.
Politically - no. . . Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual
leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America , the
great Satan. Domestically - no. . . Because he is instructed to marry four Women
and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34 )
Intellectually - no. . Because he cannot accept the American Constitution
since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be
corrupt.
Philosophically - no. . . . Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran donot
allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Isla m cannot co-exist.
Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually - no. . . . Because when we declare "one nation under God," the
Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly
father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.
Therefore after much study and deliberation.... Perhaps we should be very
suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. - - - They obviously cannot be both
"good" Muslims and good Americans.

better believe it. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our
country and our future. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand.
. . And Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim, wants to be our President? You have GOT
to be kidding! Wake up America ! Obama even says if he wins the election,

This is very interesting, but I have just a few questions about it. Please help me to understand some of these claims.
I would be interested to see the source which claims that Obama has said that he will be sworn in on the Quran. By all accounts that I know of his religious views he is a Christian and claims to be a Christian.

Mike Huckabee has said in a speech in Michigan last week that he wants to change the Constitution to be more in line with God's standards. Actually he said this, "But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that’s what we need to do, to amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards." Is the Constitution really based on biblical principles? By his own statement above it does not appear that Huckabee believes so. Is it possible for Huckabee to be considered a "good American" since he can not seem to accept or reconcile the Constitution as it is written with his interpretation of the Bible?

I have been arguing this point since the start of the Iraq war to my Republican friends, but to no avail. If one can accept this point then one can understand that our government is needlessly and carelessly wasting billions of dollars and precious lives in Iraq. Remember the name of the original mission: "Operation Iraqi Freedom."

Barack Obama is Church of Christ, so the whole Quran thing is B.S.
The Constitution is not based on biblical principles (it may share some principles, but so does the Quran). It was based on political theory and liberty. We all know Thomas J. was a Deist and here is what James Madison had to say about religion in gov't: "But mysteries belong to religion, not to government; to the ways of the Almighty, not to the works of man. And in religion itself there is nothing mysterious to its author; the mystery lies in the dimness of the human sight. So in the institutions of man let there be no mystery."
You can tell the person who wrote the email has no idea what they are talking about, they mention "One nation, under God." That has nothing to do w/ the Constitution or the founding of the country. We didn't have the pledge until the late 1800's and it was created by and for people that worship the state. "under God" wasn't added until the 1950's to separate us from the Communists. That proves they worship the state just the like "commies", but they wanted to believe that God approved of our state.
Yes we all know that Jefferson was a Deist, and that the founding fathers created by and large a secular document in the Constitution. The person who sent me the email is a very closed minded Christian who has some sort of deep seated hatred for Muslims as far as I can tell. I have to gently prod back at this person with little questions to make he or she think without setting off his or her angry side. I can not respond him or her the same way I would respond to a rational mind.
Let's not forget that Islam is an extremely reactionary religion opposed to the values of individual freedom that anarchism stands for. Apart from the mystical Sufis, there has been no libertarian stream in Islam, as opposed to Christianity or even Judaism. Islam is the enemy of a lot of the basic values we hold dear. The catching on of Sharia Law in the UK is a major, major step backwards!
I agree that Islam seems to be light years away from libertarianism when looked at in comparison to the other Abrahamic religions. You are correct that we must make that distinction, but by the same token I am hard pressed to find truly libertarian Christians. I know they exist at least in some fringe areas, but why is it that most often when I encounter this topic when speaking with a Christian he is so full of praise for the warfare state. To quote the late Harry Browne, "war is the quintessential big government program." The notion that pre-emptive war against a muslim country, or any country for that matter, is perfectly moral astounds me, especially when it is so accepted by those who claim to follow the teachings of Christ in the new testament.
According to the writer's definition, Christians can also not be good Americans.
As a Christian, my allegiance belongs to Christ alone. This is why I don't pledge allegiance to a flag or a republic it stands for.
But I say the writer is wrong in his/her assessment of what a good American is. Being a good American doesn't involve slavish devotion to the government or pledging a flag anyway. A good American's allegiance should belong to whatever he or she decides. A good American is proud to be an American when America actually stands for freedom of thought, expression, and action.
